WHAT IS FOREVER YOUNG BBL?

laser-treatment

Forever Young BBL is a treatment that makes use of the revolutionary Broad Band Light Therapy, which is considered an upgrade over its predecessor, IPL or Intense Pulsed Light Therapy. While its most common use is the face, the treatment can also be applied to other parts of the body, including the neck, arms, legs, and chest, with results that are expected to last for a long time.

Forever Young BBl laser treatment can help improve the most common skin imperfections, including:

  • Fine lines
  • Wrinkles
  • Sun spots
  • Age spots
  • Acne scars
  • Broken capillaries
  • Visible veins
  • Unwanted freckles and skin pigmentation

How does Forever Young BBL work?

Forever Young BBL makes use of Broadband Light to precisely target areas of the skin that need correction or improvement. As the heat from the light is absorbed by the skin, the skin cells are stimulated, promoting the production of collagen and elastin. This helps to improve the skin’s elasticity, reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and pigmentation.

BBL can also minimize skin damage from sun exposure, as well as acne scars, broken capillaries, and skin pigmentation. With precise targeting, the light penetrates the upper layers of the skin to break down the melanocytes that are causing the pigmentation. This reduces the pigmentation over a course of several weeks.

What is the procedure for Forever Young BBL?

Forever Young BBL is a simple and non-invasive procedure that takes approximately 45 minutes. Patients have reported minimal to zero discomfort during the procedure. At the start of the treatment, a cold gel is applied to the patient’s face or other affected areas of the body. Topical anesthesia may also be applied if needed. Broadband Light is then delivered to targeted areas using the Sciton® machine.

How many treatments are needed?

In general, a patient needs a series of treatments to achieve the best results. The typical number of treatments is 2 to 6, but this may vary depending on how fast the desired results are achieved.

How long is the recovery period?

In most cases, the treatment does not require a downtime or recovery period. The patient can wear makeup immediately after the procedure and resume their regular routine. A mild redness may be observed right after the treatment, but this is expected to resolve after a few hours or a few days. Applying an ice pack over the face for the first 24 hours can help reduce any swelling.

Skin that’s treated for pigmentation may darken, then gently flake off in about one to two weeks for the face and two to three weeks for the body. Patients must avoid picking on the treated area, and must use sunscreen daily starting from the day of the treatment. Sun exposure must also be avoided for at least 14 days.

For more post-care instructions, see here.

How long will it take to show results?

The length of time it takes to show results depends on several factors, including the type of issue that’s being treated, the severity of the issue, and the number of issues that need treatment. In most cases, improvements start to show 4 to 6 weeks after treatment.

How much does a Forever Young BBL treatment cost?

At House of Beauty Med Spa, the cost of treatment starts at $550. The cost will be different for every patient. Some may need more intensive treatments and others may seek the procedure for more than one issue. Patients can discuss the price with the House of Beauty Med Spa team upon consultation.

WHAT IS FOREVER CLEAR BBL?

laser-treatment

Forever Clear BBL is a laser treatment that makes use of Broadband Light to clear acne without using creams or medications. It can address mild to severe acne problems, whether on teens going through hormonal changes or adults suffering from adult onset acne.

Forever Clear BBL laser has other desirable effects. It can help minimize the appearance of pores and make skin tone more even. The treatment can also help in preventing future acne breakouts and firming up the skin.

How does Forever Clear BBL work?

Forever Clear BBL is a three-step process that utilizes blue and yellow BBL light, as well as infrared light. It treats acne at its source, reduces inflammation, and stimulates the body’s natural healing process.

The skin is first treated with blue BBL light, which goes deep into the sebaceous glands to kill the bacteria that causes acne.

The next step involves treating the skin with yellow BBL light to reduce inflammation and redness. This treatment also helps reduce the appearance of acne scars and prevent new breakouts.

Finally, the skin is treated with infrared light to promote the body’s natural healing process and stimulate the production of new skin cells.

What is the procedure for Forever Clear BBL?

The Forever Clear BBL laser treatment is a virtually painless procedure that typically takes around 45 minutes to complete. In most cases, topical anesthesia is not required.

Before the treatment, a thin layer of cold gel will be applied to the face or other parts of the body that will be treated. The patient is then given the three step treatment, using the Sciton® machine to deliver the blue and yellow BBL Light, and the SkinTyte II™ system to deliver infrared light.

After the procedure, the med spa team may recommend a personalized plan, which involves follow up visits or add on treatments, as well as a skin care regimen to help the patient maintain acne-free skin.

How many treatments are needed?

Typically, 4 to 6 treatments are recommended to achieve the best results, but the number of treatments varies according to the severity of the acne and scarring. After the initial treatments, quarterly or semi-annual visits are ideal to maintain the appearance of the skin and continue fighting the bacteria that causes acne.

How long is the recovery period?

Forever Clear BBL does not require downtime or a recovery period. The patient can go back to their normal routine and wear make up on the day of the procedure.

Some redness and swelling may occur after the treatment. This is normal and will resolve itself in a few days.

An important aftercare is avoiding sun exposure for at least 14 days. Using sunscreen every day is also critical to avoid exposing the skin to UV light which could darken the skin, particularly the treated areas.

For more post-care instructions, see here.

How long will it take to show results?

Results can be observed a few days after the first treatment. As the redness fades, the skin will have noticeably fewer acne lesions, and will look clearer and fresher. The patient can also expect fewer acne breakouts after each treatment as the production of acne producing bacteria is minimized.

How much does a Forever Clear BBL treatment cost?

At House of Beauty Med Spa, the cost of treatment starts at $550. The cost will be different for every patient. Some may need more intensive treatments and others may seek the procedure on more than one part of the body. Patients can discuss the price with the House of Beauty Med Spa team upon consultation.

WHAT IS HALO?

laser-treatment

HALO is the first skin rejuvenation treatment to use hybrid technology, combining ablative and non-ablative lasers to address skin issues both at the top and the inner layers of the skin. The result is smoother, clearer skin with a healthy glow.

With precise fractional targeting, HALO can improve the appearance of:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Acne scars
  • Enlarged pores
  • Unwanted freckles and pigmentation
  • Uneven skin tone
  • Sunspots
  • Other skin imperfections

The treatment is often used on the face but can also be used on other parts of the body including the neck, arms, chest, legs, and hands.

How does HALO work?

HALO delivers two laser treatments simultaneously:

  • Ablative laser – A laser with a wavelength of 2490 nm removes the top layer of the skin and in the process stimulates the production of new skin cells to replace the exfoliated dead cells.
  • Non-ablative laser – A laser with a wavelength of 1470 nm targets the source of the issue underneath the surface and triggers the production of collagen to improve the skin’s elasticity.

HALO is a fractional laser treatment, which consists of delivering columns of laser energy all the way to the dermis, or the lower layer of the skin, while leaving untreated skin tissues intact. The treatment is highly customizable, allowing for the precise targeting of specific skin concerns. This results in shorter recovery times, more comfortable treatment, and faster skin rejuvenation.

What is the procedure for HALO?

A topical anesthetic may be applied to the face or affected area 30 minutes before the treatment. The treatment area will then be measured using motion tracking technology. The clinician will treat the area by rolling the HALO handpiece over the skin until the machine detects that treatment is complete. The device delivers both ablative and non-ablative laser energy simultaneously.

While HALO is generally painless, the patient might feel bursts of heat on the skin, slight prickling sensations, and a feeling akin to sunburn. The procedure may last for approximately 45 minutes.

How many treatments are needed?

Most patients need two treatments to achieve the desired results, but the actual number of treatments will depend on the needs and goals of each patient. Maintenance HALO treatments once or twice a year are recommended to sustain the results.

How long is the recovery period?

HALO requires a downtime of around two to seven days or more. After the treatment, the patient can expect redness on the treated area, which can last for 3 to 7 days, depending on the aggressiveness of the treatment.

Other post-treatment effects include:

  • Swelling in the affected areas, which may last for 2 days
  • Pinpoint bleeding on all or some of the treated areas, which can last up to 12 hours
  • The appearance of MENDS, or Microscopic Epidermal Necrotic Debris, 2 to 3 days after treatment. MENDS are microscopic wounds with large amounts of melanin, a skin darkening pigment. They appear as tiny dark spots on the treated areas, and collectively can make the skin appear bronzed.
  • Very dry skin which comes with the appearance of MENDS. The skin will have a sandpaper texture and begin to flake and peel. The peeling can last for 7 days on the face and up to 2 weeks on other parts of the body.

Post care instructions for a HALO treatment include:

  • Applying moisturizer starting the morning after treatment
  • Cleansing the skin 24 hours after treatment with plain lukewarm water and a gentle cleanser. The skin should be pat dried after washing instead of rubbed.
  • Allowing peeling and flaking to occur naturally. Rubbing and forcing off dry skin can result in infections, scarring, and pigmentation complications.
  • Avoiding sun exposure for two months after treatment. If sun exposure cannot be avoided, protective hats and clothing must be used to shield the treated area.
  • Using sunscreen daily for up to 3 months after treatment

For more post-care instructions, see here.

How long will it take to show results?

Results will start to show two to five days after the treatment, but optimal results can be seen in the first two to three weeks after the procedure. Patients will notice remarkable improvements on their skin tone and texture, as well as on the appearance of pores. In the succeeding months, as the skin goes through its natural regeneration process, the patient will continue to see more improvement.

How much does a HALO treatment cost?

At House of Beauty Med Spa, the cost of treatment starts at $1800. The cost will be different for every patient. Some may need more intensive treatments and others may seek the procedure for more than one issue. Patients can discuss the price with the House of Beauty Med Spa team upon consultation.

WHAT IS CLEAR V?

laser-treatment

Clear V is an advanced laser treatment designed to gently remove and improve the appearance of vascular lesions, including:

  • Visible vessels
  • Broken capillaries
  • Spider veins
  • Port wine stain
  • Rosacea
  • Warts

This non-invasive treatment is virtually painless and requires no downtime. It is safe for all skin tones and skin colors, and can be used on the face, legs, arms, chest, and other parts of the body.

How does Clear V work?

Clear V makes use of the 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser that’s considered the gold standard in treating facial vessels and other visible vessels and skin discoloration on the face and body. The system allows the laser to precisely target veins of concern without damaging the skin. As the veins are heated, oxyhemoglobin – which produces the blood’s red color – is absorbed, resulting in the reduction of visible vessels and pigmentation on the skin.

Moreover, Clear V comes with the cutting edge Subsurface Vein Illumination technology that allows clinicians to clearly view and target hyperpigmented veins under the skin for optimal results.

What is the procedure for Clear V?

The Clear V treatment does not require topical anesthesia. Before the procedure, a cool gel will be applied to the face or targeted area. Laser energy is then delivered precisely to the areas of concern using a handheld device.

Patients generally feel a warm or hot sensation and pinpricks as the laser beams are absorbed by the target vessels. Discomfort is typically minimal, as the device’s sapphire tip provides cooling from 5 degrees to 25 degrees C.

Follow up visits are recommended. Maintenance treatments are also required to preserve and prolong the results.

How many treatments are needed?

The number of treatments depends upon the number of vessels to be treated, the types and condition of the vessels, and the body’s healing ability.

How long is the recovery period?

Clear V requires little to no downtime. The patient can go back to their regular routine after the treatment, and may even wear makeup if needed.

Patient response to the treatment varies. A few minutes after treatment, some patients may experience redness and swelling with a “cat scratch” appearance, as well as a sunburn sensation and soreness in the treated area, but these sensations are expected to subside within 24 to 48 hours.

After 48 hours, the treated area may look bruised and the veins may look more visible than usual. These are expected to resolve on their own over a period of two to three weeks. Gradually, the redness will subside and the veins will become less noticeable.

For treatments done on the legs, the patient will be asked to refrain from running or any physical exercise to allow the vessel to close thoroughly.

Sun exposure should also be avoided for at least one month after the treatment, and sunscreens must be used at all times starting on the day of the procedure.

For more post-care instructions, see here.

How long will it take to show results?

Noticeable results can be seen 4 to 6 weeks after treatment.

How much does a Clear V treatment cost?

The cost of Clear V treatment can start anywhere from $300 to $600. The cost will be different for every patient. Some may need more intensive treatments and others may seek the procedure for more than one issue. Patients can discuss the price with the House of Beauty Med Spa team upon consultation.
